Sonar Maschine Mikro Delay Glitch

GOAL - to simply load a kit on Maschine, and put out some beats in real time while recording to my Sonar X1.
 
1) Inserted Synth.. I checked MIDI SOURCE, SYNTH TRACK FOLDER, FIRST SYNTH AUDIO OUTPUT, AND ENABLE MIDI OUTput.. everything else blank
2) PREFERENCES > MIDI > DEVICES.. 
INPUTS - enabled MASCHINE MIKRO and my ULTRALITE (my soundcard)
OUTPUTS - enabled MASCHINE MIKRO and ULTRALITE
3) MASCHINE MIKRO - Sound Batch Midi Setup chose Sounds to Midi Notes.. MIDI Channel 1.. Root Note C3
4) went into Sonar Maschine Track and clicked on the Red Record Button and the Blue Button


So I hit record.. and my there is a major delay on all my buttons that is not there when I'm not recording..  Maschine has been a nightmare and left me frustrated.. most useless purchase to date.  I can set up a channel and draw out the midi in piano view and use the drums and instruments.. but that is very minimal way to use.. I've been recording for years, and the recording process with Sonar various versions and plug ins, initializing after re-formats has sucked all the fun out of music creation.. God forbid you load a synth and the controller always works, there are no latency issues, you don't get soundcard drop outs.. if somebody ever made anything where simply plugged in and the **** workded.. as of late I notice guitar rig is useless cause all the inputs are too hot..
