I have rarely heard this as a cover, and I think it's a great choice! I think you have great touch and some deft phrasing in the lead guitar department, plus your lead tone is great. That's where the money is!
As you look at the rhythm kind of arpegiatting? guitar, I'd try to make that less slidey-back and forth in the timing, so your lead can spring forth even more. It's honestly not too bad the way it is, and there's no sense of keeping a metronome going, either, when you are lounge-ing it up. I think you are close to the sweet spot.
Something weird at :50, like three hammer-ons?
Again, it's super chill, great song choice, great lead tones. Reverend Al would approve (I think - he has a reputation of being a little crispy if I remember) so, good yob!
