They didn't give a release date, just a somewhat vague 'end of spring' indication.
Anyway: I've pre-ordered mine at Thomann (germany) and according to their estimate it should have been available on the 13th of march, that has now changed to 2-5 days. Other webstores also have an availability estimate around the same time, so I expect it to arrive at the end of this week or next week.

Unfortunately I was a bit to optimistic. The delivery date just changed to 03.21.

I don't know about Console 1, but Softube is now Gobbler-only for updates. I had had regular issues with Gobbler logging itself out and not logging back in, pretty much a daily thing on startup. Gobbler uninstalled. Softube plugin uninstalled.

No that's not correct. You only need a Gobbler account to log into your Softube account. You can still download individual installers for all your plugins if you want to.

I have uninstalled Gobbler on both laptop and studio pc. I have my Console1, and plugins activated to iLok.
I just keep an eye out for updates, and manually update.

You're correct. Took me awhile to find it. What's missing is their full installer (what I was looking for). What does exist is a single installer for the one plugin I bought direct. Thanks for making me look further.

EDIT finally found it it only likes the VST3 version only!!!! now it communicates

now I have to figure out how to control uad plugs

well I got it installed and it doesnt work
first of all the Console 1 on screen display opens up and fills the whole screen, if you disable the process, softube console 1 wont communicate, so I have to drag the screen off, there is no minimize button

it doesnt communicate!!! softube stays in manual track mode and there is no setting button to change to auto.

I cannot change volume pan or anything

I cannot set the track names, clicking on the click to set name dialog box yields nothing

Re: Still NO softube console 1 mk II 2017/03/27 13:37:31 (permalink)
well I went from bad to worse....

installed the latest UAD version 9.1 and after a while the console would finally see the plugs, but then the uad plugs started losing authorization .

I stayed up till 2AM rolling back, downloading, trying this that and the other.

I could load one uad plug fine the second I added A new plug the first one lost authorization.. I fought this for a while, when suddenly I tried looking at the control panel and saw my firewire utilization was at 100% with no plugs installed.
I am running a solo PCI card, a Satellite Quad FW and an Apollo USB twin, bur for some reason the fw issue was hosing up everything. I had been rebooting my PC several times but the UAD stuff stays on till I hit the master power switch so none of the interfaces ever got rebooted. I reset the Satellite and then at 2AM I tried loading a few UAD plugs and they stayed authorized, and the console also loaded a uad plug.

This evening I will try to clean up my mess and continue testing with a fresh brain.
AND try to figure out why it didnt work, but I think it was partially because I move my UAD folder to a different location, and last night I let the install take the default the Steinberg folder.
It is a PITA for the Platinum rescans cause it takes FOREVER for Plat to scan the vsts...

I haven't seen that before. I only have one Pcie card, and that works as it should most of the time.
I have had a few messages from UAD plugins about sample rate issues, but nothing that a reboot doesn't cure.
Just shout out if there is anything I can do to help.

I still don't know WTH happened, Ken. I appreciate your help, though.

    Everything is working here now.

I think Console wanted to see the UADs in their default install folder, because when I did the re-install of UAD I let the plugs reside in the default.
That, and the funky Firewire issue..
