Is there a way to hide promoted view when lanes open?

I'm hoping someone tells me it's easy, but suspecting it's not available.

I can easily see which clips are selected by their' highlight colors and My eye is constantly confused by the extra image and use of screen space.

I will feature request this if that is the status.

It's nice to see the promoted (only the promoted) in the track view when the lanes are closed.

...and related to zooming. Is there really a lot of demand to have he track image way larger than the lanes?

Here's hoping I missed these controls/setups...

Thanks!

You can make the track height as small as you would like, within reason. This doesn't get rid of it when expanding the lanes but it would make it not as prevalent.

    Thanks Reginald.

That's what I've been doing and it helps but makes for very tedious editing needing to manually shape each zoom with a few moves.

I'm hoping some change for this to be upcoming... <sigh>

I've had issues with my this type of issue ever since Lanes replaced Layers...

Scroll the track view up until the parent track is hidden, but not the lanes?

Ah if only there was a simple way to do that it would help.

As I currently experience it, the track is continually larger than the lanes until I manually make changes..

Collapse the track. Lanes may be opened and closed with the track completely minimized using SHIFT+T.

    Thanks Steve!

    I'll give that a try.

    Well...

I tried. Not finding it any easier. I was essentially doing the smae before but when recommended, I thought to look again and see if there's something I'm missing.

I don't think so. It still means a lot of fidling around to get my desired zoom as opposed to being able to simply zoom the area I select.

...and even at it's best, the extra images are distracting to my eye.

I've posted a Feature Request along these lines for an option to hide the promoted view when Lanes are enabled. That would be way more efficient in the end...

As to the zoom issues? I'm trying not to go off thread but that has been an ongoing issue for me since the silver-whatever interface. It continues to improve but still has a very noticable crunch on my work model...

Thanks for trying gang... I guess I'm still in being patient mode.... ;-)

Keni, You keep saying zoom. Do you mean making the track bigger or smaller or are you talking about zooming in on the timeline?  When I hear zoom I don't think about track size.

Vertical zoom is track size, in Sonar speak. Horizontal zoom is timeline.

If I wish to select an area and enlarge it so that it occupies the entire screen space.

That is the zoom I am referring to.
