[SOLVED] piano roll help - editing note velocity

I guess I'm being stupid here but even after RTFM I can not figure out how to adjust MIDI velocity when notes and velocity are displayed on top of each other (e.g. inline piano roll view or PRV with controller pane hidden).

Can't seem to do it with the smart tool ... do I need some key pressed to tell Sonar whether I want notes or velocity to be adjusted?

Could it be that you need to set the track’s Edit Filter control to Notes?

The Edit Tool should also work.

Velocity changes are made in the note pane the same way whether the controller pane is visible or not.

Thanks a lot, mate. I was indeed being stupid. I tried to "paint" across the tips of the velocity bars as you can do in the controller pane but did not realize I had to grab the center of the note and drag up/down when displaying both notes and velocity on top of each other (although I was well aware of that option and actually often use that when showing the separate controller pane).
