Heavy project - clicks on mixdown

Can someone help me to understand why I am getting a few clicks on an exported song?

The project is heavy with many plugings, .... and during playback the computer is creating some random clicks.... sometimes...

Is there a way to correct this? I just need to have a clean mixdown.

Thank you,

Giorgio

Are the clicks being included in the exported file?

Also, please post your system specification and audio interface info an settings.

    Try a slow bounce.

    That has worked for me.

    Thank you,

I will try to freeze some tracks (so the project will be much lighter...).

The slow bounce could be an option? In this situation the problem is that the playback is not always clean and some clicks / pops are introduced sometimes because of the heavy CPU load (around 35% on task manager but then there could be much higher peaks...).... and I don't know if the slow bounce will be ok, but I can try....

System specs: I7 and 8 GB Ram (but many Slate Digital plugins are engaded...).

    Bye,

This may sound too obvious, but you can greatly increase your latency on mix down as you do not need real-time monitoring. Higher latency usually results in lower computer stress.

Ya, pretty minimal RAM specs for a large vst heavy project, so you will need to increase your buffer size while mixing and unload some RAM buy converting VST to audio.
You didn't mention your audio interface but we will guess it is up to the task driver wise.

    Thanks again to everyone.

It seems that freezing tracks and rising latency seems ok.

(my audio interface is a midas venicef 16... anyway).

I also suspect that those State Digital plugins are going heavy on CPU 1 and not much on the other cores.... - not well balanced...

    Bye,
