Rhiannon - Acoustic version
Hi guys! Here is me and my daughter having a go at fleetwood mac's Rhiannon. https://youtu.be/S2129Re6dlQWe plugged straight into the desk with 3 channels going into sonar platinum and minimal fuss. With all the other tunes I've done it's nice to be reminded that 3 tracks can sound as good if not better than 30 tracks . Hope you enjoy Si

Nice work. She sings well, and plays the guitar well. The guitars were a bit wet on the verb but that kinda fits this pretty good. It makes them silky smooth.

That was great! The wetness / reverb is very nice on the ears. Great vocals.

Nice job on this one. Great vocals and clean playing. I liked seeing her hit the solo and play along. Too many females just standing around with a mic - it's nice to see more female musicians. They are everywhere too, I've noticed. My only criticism is that I had a hard time hearing the guitar line, like the vocals were mixed a little too hot. Would be nice to hear the guitars a little more. Anyway, really enjoyed this and I shared it on my Facebook page. Don't get too excited, I only have like 60 friends...nobody likes me....it's a sad sad story...

Applause lady and sir. Perhaps a little less verb on the guitars, perhaps.

Really great performance. Vocals are good verb-wise but the guitars are a bit on the wet side. Personally, I think a dryer acoustic sound puts more emphasis on the vocal and also brings out the beauty of the vocal performance as well as the beautiful sound of a good acoustic guitar. Anyway, that is a personal taste thing but really liked the performance. Enjoyed your Paramore cover that came up right after Rhiannon as well. Regards

Loved it... There is a lot of reverb on the guitars, but in this case I thought it worked with the vibe you have going, smooth and glassy. Your daughter sounds awesome!

Thanks for listening to the Paramore tune too. That was a couple of years ago when she was 14 and it was her first live performance. Great thing about youtube is that you get a timestamped history of your kids making you feel old :-) I think on the next tune I will try a little less reverb but whenever I play that 12 string I just want to be in a cavern!!!! Thanks again

Absolutely a great performance. Your daughter is very talented. Only minor crit is, like others here have said, maybe easy back on the reverb on the guitars. Beautiful. Cheers Wal

I used to work in a building that had all concrete walls, floor, and ceiling which made it very ambient and sometimes hard to have a conversation. I always wanted to do a recording there, but, apparently, you beat me to it. I think it works for you, especially on the vocal. You chose a great song to record and did it very well. Congratulations to both of you.

Wow! great voice, great playing. I bought into the heavy reverb with those guitars. I must be getting older. Next time you might move her mic stand to the other side, so Dad doesn't have the boom going through his head :) Please post more! cheers, -Tom

That was stunningly good! Her guitar technique is very nice, with a great subtlety on the lead parts. Vocal tone is really nice and her phrasing was just perfect.
