Latest phone related computer scam :-)

Latest phone related computer scam:

If you want to torture these num skulls
first make sure to block your outgoing caller ID with *67
so the number you call would be:
*6718005961733

Voice mail message:
"This is an emergency call to notify you that the license key of your Microsoft Windows has expired.
To renew license key please call toll free 1-800-596-1743."

Make sure to use *67 to block your outgoing caller ID.

Of course, *don't* actually do anything they tell you to do on your computer.

You do realize that caller ID blocking does not work on 800 (and other toll free exchange) numbers?

I now have my own toll-free number for my business (as of yesterday).  I could call them from that and do to them what they're trying to do to others, ya?

Craig, you need to get one of those toll numbers that charges them $50.00 a minute every time you call them. It would be great way to finance your Gear Acquisition Syndrome..... Just sayin'......

Hmm...  Sounds like a good idea.  Can you give me a call at 1-900-555-1234 and explain it to me?  Just take your time so I really understand.
