Turn off Screensets?
I go to enter a value into a numeric field and if I have not got it right to accept data entry, suddenly I am seeing some totally unrecognisable view of "my" project. Can I stop 1-9 changing screens on me...please? To me it's just confusing and too easy to stuff up. I tried searching key bindings and did not find it. Help says 1-9 change screensets, but if I look at 1 in keybinding it highlights no response. EDIT: I used the key bindings and it says that 1-9 are bound to screensets 1-9. Searching screenset in the action list gives no result. Selecting 1-9 and asking to Unbind does not work.

Why do you need to press 1-9? What is it you want to do?

I actually have the same problem. I accidentally hit a number key in the heat of the battle and POOF... I hope I remember what screen set I was on.

In key bindings, there is a function listed called something like 'do nothing' (sorry, not at my PC) that is used to overide default actons. Bind keys 1- 9 to that. For some reason the screenset key bindings were removed from the list in 2017-02. Hopefully it was in error and they will return. EDIT: Back in the studio - the function in keybindings is indeed called 'do nothing'. Just type the word 'nothing' into the search box.

If you open up a KBN file (Which is an exported keybinding file) from your %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum folder with your favourite text editor and add the following in the [Bindings] section:
Kx00600B=874 Kx00610B=865 Kx00620B=866 Kx00630B=867 Kx00640B=868 Kx00650B=869 Kx00660B=870 Kx00670B=871 Kx00680B=872 Kx00690B=873
This will map CTRL num 0 to 9 to the 10 screensets. CTRL 1 to 9 will be screenset 1 to 9 respectively and CTRL num 0 will be mapped to screenset 10
Of course, make sure numlock is on
This works as of 2017.3 but I cannot guarantee that this will continue to work for future updates.
If you are going to work on a KBN file, make sure you have a backup of the original. Also make sure you export your current key mappings to a KBN file so you can revert if need be.
Hope this helps a little.

That's great info Promidi - I'll file that away thanks. I believe the OP wants to unmap the shortcuts though, not map them.

Enter data into a field, for instance. It's just that if I type when I have not prepared the filed by clicking (sometimes twice) and ensuring it's ready for data entry, then I hit say "3" and my entire screen changes.

Same problem here! I am renaming clips to note names. If the clip name is not selected properly and I type A#0 then -whoops!?! I don't use screensets so much that I need hotkeys. A simple disable would be a welcome feature.

Did ya pick up the way to do it in the thread? Also apparently it was there as a key binding in the list, but disappeared. What puzzles me is that you be able to select screensets in the interface by clicking numbers, but I can't find them. To select a screenset Do one of the following: Select a screenset from the Screenset menu in the Control Bar. (got that) Click one of the Screenset buttons (1-10) in the Control Bar. (????) Press number keys 1-0 on the computer keyboard. These keys correspond to the 10 available screensets. (now turned off) On the Views menu, point to Screensets and select the desired screenset. (yup)...except it is in a sub-menu)
