Vocals are amazing! The drums are not up to par with the rest of the mix/musicianship to my ears. I enjoy the song over all.

Thank you for the feedback!

I would agree on drums, they are a bit simple at the moment and need some compression,

Kind regards

Vocals are nice, the kick/drum is intrusive, I would consider side chaining the kick against the voice so it ducks when she sings.  Nothing wrong with minimalist drums, perhaps a full kit on the chorus to lift, but that would be a personal thing.

Thanks for sharing.

Interesting approach on the kick side chaining, will try that - thanks!

Think we will redo the drum section with a real drummer,

At the moment she creates a complete arrangement on her own with a keyboard.

Really nice tune and mood.  And it's catchy enough without being cliche.  I guess I'm the only one who doesn't hear an issue with the drums.  I like the imperfectly timed kick, and I like how stripped down everything is which seems to all compliment each other and fits the mood just real sweet.

Don't have any crits...good song.  And yes, she has a great voice.

Voda La Void...experiments in disturbing frequencies...

Maybe trying to over "produce" is not the way to go here.
After all, its all about the vocal; and that vocal is perfect!
Would I approach it a little different? Probably.
But that doesn't mean that its not "right" just as it is.
She's amazing!
I would tread carefully...

Her voice is fantastic, and the tune itself is epic.  Really love it.

I agree with the folks that say the drums are not up to par, need to be given space with verb more than compression IMO.  I also think that the piano level and EQ sound out of place when soloed.  Maybe some added delay or reverb is needed at those moments.  And the strings are very buried in the mix most of the time -- swelling the strings at moments could be very effective, although maybe staying understated is the right approach on that score.

Given the quality of the vocals, it is worth spending more time.  My two bits anyway.

Thank you for the notes!
Will look more into drums and piano reverbs \ delays \ EQ during my further work with the track,
As for the strings - it was her original idea to have them on the background
