Not Real Happy with it but here is a new one

Well we had some issues with the tracks and redid some. I am playing with a new amp so the settings I used I was not completely happy with.

I just could not get the sound I wanted. So we decided to just run with it and finish it and move on to the other tracks sitting behind this one.

Feel free to blast away. I put my suit of armor on for this one :)

Dazed...I like the song...really solid rocker...

but...the rythym guitars sound almost muffled (is that the word I'm looking for?)...they seem to far back in the mix...though the volume seems right...at least to my ears. I guess they're just not settled in the mix.

The mix doesn't sound as polished as some of the other stuff I've heard of yours.

As usual...solid playing and writing and execution...despite my above comments...I really enjoyed the song...it's a nice piece of work!

I think the overall sound is good, but the song lacks drive and I think its cause the bass part should be a little more active...
maybe some eight note stuff in the verse/prechorus sections...
I like the bridge section at 1:48...or maybe thats your chorus...

Not sure the drums do this justice in sound or playing. Good track nice lead breaks.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have pulled this track from soundclick because I am just not happy with it yet.

RLD yes that is the chorus at 1:48. I really like the chorus and that is why I guess I need to redo this track.

Rasmuth you nailed it on the head. It is just not as polished as the other tracks we have done. I like the track but I made some mistakes on the recording and it just got muddled. Here is the original track without bass and drum fills. I had way too many guitar tracks on this one.

This could be a really nice rocker. To my ears it's dragging. Ideally the bpm would go up from the approx 108(?) to like 112~115 or so. Yeah, don't feel like retracking all the parts, ok, then RLD's suggestion, notch up the bass with some eighths. Also, I'm not hearing any hat. The hats could also juice it up. There's some places where the guitar is a head of the drum beat and prevents the locked in sound. The triplet drum fills pull the beat back too. Also there's to much homogeneity in the guitar sounds, that refrain pattern could be brighter and more punchier.

As I said, this is a good song in the ruff, just needs some zing.

Couldn't find the tune at Soundclick so checked out Take
A Chance On Madness. Liked the song, like when the
chorus kicks in with the drums. The chorus has a nice
    hook. Overall great job!

I've got to agree. the first thing that came to mind was that it was too slow.

Good foundation for a good song though. The seed is there!
