How to raise the pitch of whole track by about a quarter step?
I need to raise a track that was recorded about a quarter step below standard tuning to standard tuning. Is there an easy way to do this in Sonar? I looked under "Process--Transpose," but this function seems to work only in semitones. Can the version of Melodyne included in Sonar Platinum to this? (I apologize if there's an easily available answer to my question I haven't found.)

Use tune instead of transpose.

Red4Con1 Use tune instead of transpose.
Thanks. But I haven't found tune anywhere by that name. In the loop construction view, I found a way to alter pitch, but it also introduces some weird artifacts.

Tune is found in the soft synth near the transpose button.

Ah, thanks, again. I'm talking about an audio track, so a soft synth modifier might not be what I need.

papercut I need to raise a track that was recorded about a quarter step below standard tuning to standard tuning. Is there an easy way to do this in Sonar? Yes, it involves using the Loop Construction window but turning off the stretching options. I've written about this several times; "The Big Book of SONAR Tips" covers the subject in detail, but this column in Sound on Sound should get you in the ballpark - look at the "Fine-Tuning Varispeed" section. When done properly, there will be no artifacts. However, if you pitch up, the end result will be shorter. So, use the Time Stretch tool to restore the desired length, then bounce the clip to itself to invoke the high-fidelity, offline stretch algorithm.
