Mango Magoo.

I wrote and recorded this song using a nylon string guitar a couple of years ago. I archived it and then one day my good friend Ron Bock came by with his harmonica. So, he recorded a harmonica track for this.

Ron did this in one take - you can hear him at the very end breath a breath of relief.

I named this one Mango Magoo.

    Nice dreamy piece Mark. Cracking recording of both guitar(s) and harmonica. Just the right amount of reverb for me , and I liked the delay on the harmonica too, nice and subtle...

    Just shows how little is really needed to make for an interesting piece, nice playing as always Mark, nice bit of harp from Ron too.  Beautifully captured as well Mark.

    Neat song! I wrote a similar, dreamy guitar and harmonica called *potatoe* (spelled that way).  Rob's a great player.

    That delay on the harmonica is about as perfect an effect for this track as there is. The vibe on this goes from bluesy to French sidewalk cafe, very nice!

    I really enjoyed the Island kicked back feel of this one. This is the kind of tune I would like to end my day with looking up at the stars and just relaxing or waking up under the sun. Some very creative excellence!

    When I hear a song, for me, apologies to mention me in your thread and change the subject that way, but when I hear a song I always think of how it might fit into my life or experiences and such things if I were to have a radio or CD/MP3/ And DANG I SURE WISH WE HAD 8 TRACK TAPES BECAUSE THEY WERE AWESOME!

    For me, this is a laid back, kick back, end of the day and just relax under the stars with your soul mate being thankful for all of the blessings you have in life and enjoying the atmosphere type of vibe song. And I mean that in the best way possible.

    Sounded great man! Expression through music isn't always about a catchy riff or hook or beat or none of that stuff, it should always be about how you feel and when you get it right it shows, and I think you got it right here and it shows.

    Enjoyed hearing this one Mark! Great sounding stuff!

    That excellent harmonica player is lucky to have such a cool chord progression to solo over.

    Thanks all of you - we weren't taking ourselves serious when we did this - but when it was done- we looked at each other totally surprised. Sometimes cool things happen when you least expect it.

    Cool things indeed...    What a surprising piece for guitar and harp.    Good stuff.

    What a wonderful piece.  As usual your guitar performance is stellar.  How do you get such a clean sound?  Rob's harp work was also excellent and you both really showed some laid back emotion.

    Encore -  let's hear some more from you two.  Excellent stuff my friend!!!

    You always have some of the best sounding tracks Mark....audiophile quality. Really love this tune.....loads of space and emotion. BTW tell Ron to head over here to NC when he's done at your place....DT always has room for a good harp player...lol

    Loved this tune A++
