Sorry, guys, but this conversation needs to move downstairs. Here in the Software forum we like to keep things tidy.

Christopher: first piece of advice, take anything bapu says with a grain of salt.

bapu
Welcome,

This is a good place to build your post count so that you can:

1. Include links
2. Post images (from a hosted site such as photobucket etc.)

You need about 25 posts over 5-7 days (IIRC). So don't rush it, you have all the time in the world.

An ez way to achieve this is to post bad jokes, one after another and then we can respond in a wink, wink, nudge, nudge way. (Because we'll know you're just trying to get your post count up).  Also, there are some major wankers on the song forum, don't let them bother you.  There are only 12 notes after all.  What's the big deal?

OP didn't expand upon the relevance of his career in software development. Did he say that because he's started a career in VST development?

Since it's called an octave I've been assuming there were only 8. This new development explains why E flat was such a minefield.

What kind of SW are we developing?

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Tell the truth - you moved him down here so that he could better learn to deal with bugs (like us).
