What happened to V-Vocal??

I just installed SONAR X3 onto my new build a couple days ago, and I've been working with a project in it. However, I'm finding that the Region FX plugin V-Vocal is now missing from the pane!! Where is it? How can I reinstall it? That one was definitely a workhorse in my projects and I sort of need it!

The last version of SONAR to bundle the Cakewalk version of V-Vocal was X2. You will need to perform an advanced install of an older version of SONAR. It will take a minimal installation of the old version to get V-Vocal back.

I would recommend finding an alternative to the plug-in soon. The plug-in is no longer maintained. Even when the plug-in was in active use, it seemed difficult to get Roland to fix the problems with the plug-in. This was a Cakewalk plug-in in name only.

Thanks, scook. Turns out I've still got my X2 CD, plus the digital download.
Thanks! Found out also today that Melodyne was packaged with X3, wish I knew THAT two years ago

The X3 installers include the Melodyne 2 installer. There should be a free upgrade to Melodyne 4 Essential in your Celemony account once Melodyne 2 is registered.

Good advice, but many of us continue to use this powerful tool and intend to do so for the foreseeable future. I am not actively looking for a replacement.

That was my mindset - V-vocal seems to be able to do it ALL, from pitch to timing to timbre. I haven't dug into Melodyne much yet, but I'm excited to see where it excels in comparison (every way, I'm expecting).
