Puppets (Rock Ballad) 2016 FEC Collection/Remix 4

Puppets

Puppets is the last track of the FEC 2016 Collection. The first track of the same collection is titled "Manikins", and it is also my first post here at this forum. Puppets and Manikins are essentially the same tune, but done in different styles. Puppets is the rock ballad version of the two.

All Comments welcomed.
Thanks for listening
Dean.

Lots to enjoy in this Dean, nice track. I like the heavy Gilmour-esque guitar, works well.

Mix sounds nice and clean, plenty of room for the instruments and vocals to breath, hints of early Gilmour Floyd think Obscured by Clouds and Meddle, nice.  Thanks for sharing.

    Good stuff here Dean, really...

I needed to ask for permission to access the video. I'm just wondering, why don't you also set up a YouTube account? It's free and, again, you will get more listens.

And load up SoundCloud with all your creations... Make the tracks public... It's good, people will enjoy listening to this, I am sure

    cheers

Glad you enjoyed this piece Daryl. It was such a fun project that seemed to hit a well of creativity. Hence , I wound up with 2 versions.

Seems I'll never be able to hide the fact I played a lot of PF in the past. There is no cure!

Thanks for the feed back. Sounds good on my HPhones. I don't use the big speakers anymore, so don't really know how it plays out in a room. "Obscured by Clouds and Meddle" are 2 of my 3 favorites.  One day I'll find my own sound. Until then, I'm going to suck up all these nice Gilmour complements!

Thanks Andy. Sorry the hear about the permission problem. Google said anyone with a link can view, so I don't know. I have a YT account. Did well with a few PF covers, which Google could monetize without paying me anything, but even though there was over 50,000 play, I got no cross over to my original works. My stuff just sits there and collects dust. Had a SC account as well, but only got solicitations for paid sex and selling bot plays. Then there is the recent privacy changes, which will eventually result in my information being sold to retailers and more spam.

I don't sell my stuff (i.e. "FREE" ear candy). Even though, if I post a link to my work on YT,  my comments and links are removed as spam. So, it's a no win situation IMO. Really didn't want the SC account, but I'll see how it goes..

Thanks for trying to help Andy. Much appreciated!
    Dean

Late to the party, but I like it...  Good stuff.   I'm getting the Floyd vibe too, of course, but also hints of Queensryche.

I've listened to some of Queensryche in the past but never attempted to play any of their songs. Nevertheless, a very good band and a nice compliment. Thanks Steve. Glad you liked my tune.
