[SOLVED] 17.04 Early + Waves 9.91 = choke on scan

SOLVED with Waves reinstall
 
 
 
The VST scanner is choking on both versions waveshell 9.91.  If I choose enable(risky), the scan constinues but no plugs after the first two that start with 'r' are visible for selection.  For example, TrueVerb is not found.
 
Reset/Scan yields the same result
 
No problems in another host.

    Doesn't help, but I didn't have a problem and seemed to have gotten a couple things added.

    I have that version installed and it appears to scan OK for me. Can you try doing a reset and rescan and see if it happens again for you?

    Thanks Lance.  I did the reset/scan and even rolled back to 17.03.  Same problem.
     
    I have other hosts that scan and use the plugs fine.
     
    What the least intrusive way to completely dump scan data?

    Maybe try setting the scan to manual and then doing another full reset and rescan from Preferences. You should also check rescan existing and rescan failed. Doing the Reset dumps any data saved. Let me know.

    Done.  Manual is my standard setting.  All of this has been manual.  I tell it to Enable on both and the scan continues.  Then when list the plugs in the browser, the list is only showing VST2 versions.
     
    I'll dig a bit more on what is presented and post back

    Reinstall of Waves solved the problem.  Weird because Reaper had no problems ... perhaps it should have
