No VST managing after the Early Access #4 update

I updated to the EA4/2017 and haven't been able to rescan my VST's since.

When I go to the plug in manager and try to rescan, there are some arbitrary new folders included (like c:\msi) and I can't get rid of them by "removing" them --- they just persist and come back no matter what I do.

The rescan ends with an error message while it attempts to go through those extra folders.

Sounds weird! :(

I think Cakewalk want you to report Early Access issues in the Problem Reports forum:

no, these are user-to-user forums, cake don't officially monitor here (although they do have their occasional moments of interaction)

use the official problem reporter https://www.cakewalk.com/...Contact/Problem-Report

Early access releases are the exception, from the Early Access announcement
Jim Lima [Cakewalk]
If you encounter any critical issues prior to official public release, post them to the Problem Reports Forum. Please include SONAR 2017.04 in the post title, and refrain from including issues not related to SONAR 2017.04 as they may get missed. We’ll do our best to lock posts as we confirm the reports.

http://forum.cakewalk.com/Problem-Reports-f77.aspx is the correct place to report issues with Early Access releases.

Although this seems more like a system problem and not an issue with the release itself.

Are you using the Plug-in Manager or Preference > File > VST Settings to manage the scan path and run the scanner?

I had the same problem, except I was able to remove the folder.  But, that might be due to the fact that I rolled back to an earlier version Dec 2016 I think. It seems plugin manager is screwed up after that date.
