Audio Library Lost to Sonar

Hello Creators,

Kind people on this forum said it was OK for me to move my Audio Library (containing my audio drum loops) from my C drive to another drive.  I updated the Preferences/Wave Files to point Sonar to the new location.  Obviously that isn't right because Sonar isn't finding the new location.

Please tell me how to get Sonar to find the new location for my Audio Library.  Thank you so Much!

Go into preferences and look at the "files" section. From there you can set directories as you want.

I answered this question in your other thread:
" Is it OK to move my Drum Audio loops to another drive and then tell Sonar where to find them?"

I answered yes to that question which is the correct answer.

Please delineate what you mean by your "Audio library"?

OK it is pretty simple once you grab a simple concept . SONAR will allow you to move any of your Audio , Midi , Loops Sample content , Mix's ect ect ..to a place where ever you would like to store them and have access to them while you are in SONAR ...
The thing is once you move them you will need to do a quick search in SONAR's browser to locate the new place you have moved them to ...once you have located the content you can do a save to create a short cut ...

In my pic you will see a drop down menu of content that I want to get to using SONAR's browser ...
The left tab say's Media , right bellow it you will see a folder with an arrow .The folder with the arrow is what you use to perform a search to locate your files that you want to give SONAR access to ...
If you have external hard drives connected to your computer the locations will show up ....
When you have found your folder Audio library (in this case ) you  will need to save the location so SONAR can add it to your Media drop down list ...
To save your location use the little save Icon to the right of your drop down menu.
It really is that simple once you get the hang of it ...
You can always add or remove saved locations until you have your Media set up in a way where it makes sense to you and your workflow ...
I'm only posting one pic in my example but if you look close at the drop down menu you will see that Audio Library is checked and all my content / files underneath the drop down menu correspond to my Audio Library ...
If I was to go to Drum library or any other saved place I have saved in SONAR's browser all my files and saved folder would show up ...

hope this helps ,

Kenny

It funny that after at least 25 years of windows using the same file structure, my wife still looses her pictures every time she dumps her camera.

Pay attention to the dialog box! That's all I'm going to say.
