Let's Talk Chairs ....
Holla amigos .... Here's my last dayz ...i resale my old Herman miller Mirra , wanting to upgrade to the Mirra 2 , i then went to shop and tried the Mirra 2 and was less confortable than the one .... not a big diffrence but i said ok let's take this occasion to really upgrade so i went to a fully loaded Aeron Remastered . Build quality : exellent Looks : beauty (went for the broshed aluminim and black) called executive one Back support : better than mirra ..almost no more back pain !! Seat : the big problem here , it literrally cuts my legs !!! blood pressure ect .... Wtf , i saw some comments then about it ...how can some people love it with such a big issue ? even a fiurend that weight like a bird had this problem ? So now i'm conisdering the Embody , but i do feel it's less build like a tank than the Aeron ... Any feedback ? I don't considere humanscale ect because i have to buy from herman miller (since i'm getting the aeron back after the refund period) Cheers (last optipn is ti go with a mirra 2 witch is bad but i would love to upgrade ;))

I have a kneeling chair similar to this: It puts more pressure on your knees while taking some of the pressure off your back and other places. I don't use it all the time though. It's totally unsuitable when you need to play an instrument, but it's perfect when you're just editing.

I just saw an ad for this: PhantomFocus eChair Pretty expensive, but pricing is within the Herman Miller range. Tape Op gave it a good review, FWIW. Cheers, Eddie

Selecting the right chair is something that should be a very high priority, especially if you sit in front of a computer for hours at a time. The commercial "task" chairs are best. The executive type chairs may look cool sitting in an office, but are not really designed to support your posture. Years ago I was nearly disabled by lower back pain, and decided to switch to a premium task chair. I have no more back pain, and have avoided back surgery. Priceless!!! Yes, a good chair can be very expensive, but so can doctor bills and being laid up and unable to work! I bought a $700 Steelcase chair about 12 years ago, that came with a 10 year warranty. Shortly before the warranty expired, I got the gas cylinder and the armrests replaced for free. So far that has worked out to about $5 a month to remain pain free ... and with probably another 10 years life in this chair. Built like a tank.

The Herman Miller Aeron chair was one of thr best improvements to my studio. I can work for hours and stay comfortable. One added benefit, I was using a leather executive chair before and once I switched to the aeron I could hear better because I didn't have the back of the chair blocking my hearing. I know that sounds odd but it's true.
