Virtual Keyboard Controller, Help File, and Keyboard Shortcut

Over the weekend I thought I'd try using my computer keyboard for note input, just to see what it was like.  The Help file says it can be found under Views | Virtual... or use Alt+Shift+0, but there was no listing under Views and the hot key combination did nothing.  As far as I can tell, the VKC is gone.  BUT, it is still listed in the help documentation using F1 (at least my version and I just downloaded it from the CCC).  If it's gone so be it; but the Help file should be updated (and what was the reason for getting rid of it.

Hi. I just tested on my laptop, and it works for me on SONAR Platinum 2017.04.
Are you sure you have a MIDI / Instrument track selected?
    All the best.

We definitely haven't taken that out.  Many of us actively use the Virtual Controller.
Have you switched to a different lens?  However, I'm not aware of us removing that from any lens we ship with.
I switched to basic and it appears in the top level Views menu as expected.

Btw: how can you all enjoy using it? It doesn't remember keys/keyboard layout upon opening/closing, window position/size upon toggling layout... it doesn't speed up things, it enforces to use the mouse to adjust layout/position/size...

Nobody of you noticed anything telling the devs?

Thanks for the suggestions -- perhaps I hadn't remembered to click on a MIDI track or it might not be part of the Lens.  So many things to remember!!

Why don't you do it then?
    I don't use it..
