APM 08279+5255 [D A R K A M B I E N T]

Seeing as there is so much nice stuff here at the moment, I thought I'd assault you with one of my darkest pieces yet. Best listened to on headphones, but if you do listen to it on speakers, TURN IT UP and piss the neighbours off

Dark? Hum? Perhaps. As I was listening to this I was having flashbacks to the 1979 move "Aliens".  So, dark and spacey seems to be my impression.

    Good work, nonetheless.

Looking at the waveform I knew this would have some nice bass rumbles before I even pressed play. It's one of those moments of you know you have looked at too many waveforms when...........

Dark it certainly is, I almost had to grab a torch, but it would certainly fit well in a horror/sci-fi flick. I did like the build of tension right at the beginning as you just want it all to resolve.

Do not get me wrong it was still a good piece just did not bring that smile to my furry ears that much of your work does.

I said to myself, Do I really want to listen to ten minutes of one note drones? I'm glad I did. Very intriguing stuff going on here.   You have a lot of different elements flowing into the track then fading out again seemingly not repeating themselves. I didn't think it was as dark as you described it. Kind of foreboding maybe, like in a sci-fi soundtrack.
    Thumbs up.

And thanks too for listening... I hope you made it to the end okay?

This is me experimenting a lot with fader and send automation levels... Hence stuff flowing in and out. I still spend a lot of time coming up with the sounds and stuff, but then as much time, if not more, goes into the effects, and then automating of faders an sends. And the longer the piece is, the longer it takes...

you HAVE to get involved with someone in video mate - this is so cinematic and conjurs up some disturbing images. It deserves to be coupled with a horror flick.

    A very artistic interpretation Laura

Lift off!!    Wait, slowing down now, starting to drift...  receiving what seem to be radio signals or could be cosmic wind.   Uh oh, I think something might be alive down there in the cargo hold...
