Here are some bugs I have found in the latest versions of Platinum

I am running Platinum 2017.03, I assume the bugs are present in 2017.04 because they are not listed as being fixed.

Timing and other MIDI bugs:
1.  Transposition:  suddenly a midi track will play a major second higher than it should be.  There are no midi messages, including pitch bend, modulation wheel, RPN and NRPN messages, to cause the wrongly transposed notes. By hitting the midi panic button on the toolbar the problem is fixed. This happens fairly frequently.
2. Occasionally, midi searchback misses patch changes.  The workaround is to use apply trimming and bounce-to-clip.  That seems to fix it.

Track color bug:
1. After choosing midi clip colors, they revert to other colors (not chosen)
after applying "bounce-to-clip".

Paste bug
1. Paste special is not working when using it in the event list and sometimes in the staff view as well. Trying to paste to a different track other than the one providing the material fails, the material gets pasted into the selected track, rather than the track chosen in the paste-special dialogue box.

Staff View bugs:
1.  The snap function is dysfunctional.  Chromatic notes are more of a problem than diatonic (holding CTRL when clicking and dragging).  Very difficult to get notes to their correct location relative to the beat.
2.  The cursor location box does not account for flatted or sharped notes, so this also makes pitches difficult to place on the staff.
3.  Why remove the track numbers from the right-hand side track pane?  These really helped to ensure one is working on the right track (not a bug, but a change that makes no sense)

Tempo Map Bug:
1.  When the tempo exceeds a two-digit number (above 99) the spacing is messed up so that you cannot read the tempo in the right-hand tempo list in tempo view.

    Bug Update:

There is no bug involving the tempo map's tempo list.  I had my Window 7 fonts at 110% of default, but Sonar can only handle up to 107% of default value, at least on my monitor (24"), before it starts scrambling text together.   I changed it to 107% and Sonar looks normal.

I will continue to update if I find other causes for the errors.

Jerry, thanks for posting this, I have noticed some of these, especially the staff view bugs you point out, since I also work in staff view quite a bit . . . though, I'm thinking your "Track Color Bug" - where the colors revert back to some sort of default after "bounce to clips" has existed for a very long time, and may not be a "new" bug at all, it's just an annoying issue that's never been addressed by the baker folks.

Anyways, always appreciate that you're on top of these mostly midi related issues, and thanks for the tip about windows font size settings (107%)
