Matrix not working properly and assorted things

I discovered that sometimes I lost focus when dragging out some clips. Some seem to corrupt and I even tried lightening the system load bypassing all effects. I can re-render the missing clips but this is a PITA to be honest. This is the latest build of Sonar Platinum and well not sure what I'm doing wrong.
 
What I did discover though is sidechaining through the sonitus plug-ins is quite useful. So far I've only scratched the surface of this latest version.
 
Something I tried was using a Aux track for a group reverb rather tham have it on another FX bus along with the other group busses. At which stage would I need to use Patch points?
