Why Can't We Automate FX Assignable Controls Via MIDI?

 
This should see easy to implement as we already have it in the synth racks, but why can't we MIDI Learn these?

    To answer the question, maybe it's because they're essentially macros that can span different plug-ins. You can do this with the macros in Rapture, but they're all within a single, controlled environment. Use VST Automation instead (and yes, I know that's not what you want but it does allow for automation). Or use individual effects in the bin instead of an effects chain, and show assignable controls.

    If turning the knob with the mouse can control multiple parameters in multiple VSTs, there is no reason to assume turning it via MIDI would be a problem.

    That said, as always, those are decent workarounds for the time being.

    Well I have a VST that doesnt have MIDI learn, so i thought i could map it here.  Oh well.
