What to do if your metronome disappears in Sonar

After nine months of it working fine, my metronome suddenly stopped working.  I tried everything, but couldn't get it back.

I did a lot of internet searches and discovered that this is a problem that many people have had with Sonar over the years.  But none of the posts offered an answer that solved my problem. And it's a HUGE deal to me to have a functioning metronome.  So I solved it myself.   I'm posting this so that when somebody else has this problem they might find this and do what I did.

It's simple.  I loaded an old piece of music and saw that the metronome worked fine on it.  I then deleted all the tracks and saved the file as BLANK.  And that's what I start each new piece with.

Hope this is helpful.

Try toggling the FX bypass button in the mix module on the control bar next time. This often restores the metronome.
