Easy Way To Export Metronome Audio With Project?

Sorry, forum search function is not working -- I imagine this has been posted on before.

I want to export the built-in metronome audio with a project. (Yes, I could make one with a VST percussion but there ought to be an easy way to just include the built-in metronome).

Is there an easy way to do this?

Record the metronome into an Aux track, and export it with the rest of your project.

    Edit: ignore this doesn't work.

    There's a few ways.
One method is assign the metronome buss output to your master. The default is directly to your interface.

That totally works. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks.

As I recall...this method doesn't work because the metronome is disabled on export...no matter where you route it to.  (At least, that's the way it used to work.)

Craig's method works because you record the metronome audio to a track before you export.  (Isn't that something that needs patch points to work?)

Yes I spoke too soon, I guess the metronome is not included as you say.  I just had a chance and if you mute everything but the metronome you'll get the "no audio is selected" message. Sorry, I'm positive there was a easy way but might have been back in 8.5 or something.  I know I did it and it wasn't how Greg described   because I've never used an auxiliary track. .
