Rapture 1.2

I am running the latest version of sonar platinum.

I want to remix an old project. However it contains a track with rapture 1.2 and somewhere along the upgrade path rapture 1.2 has stopped working.

I have looked for a download of rapture 1.2 but cannot find one.

Can anyone help? I very much want to save this project

Best regards

I will assume you have the current version of Rapture installed and the project references the Rapture DXi. V1.2 supported both DX and VST formats. The only way I know to get the old DX running is install it from either the original Rapture or SONAR disk containing the plug-in and Applying the v1.2 update available in the knowledge base http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/20090428/Rapture-1-2-Update

The only version of Sonar I have on disc is X1 producer.
Is it possible to install Rapture version one from these disks without installing anything else?

Yes, using the advanced install option, however; SONAR X1 Producer and Platinum include the same version of Rapture, v1.2.2. As I mentioned in my previous reply, I assumed you were looking for an older version. v1.2 was never included with any product. To get v1.2 requires installing an older version of Rapture and applying the update. That version must come from Rapture sold separately, Rapture bundled with SONAR 8.5 or older.

While the X1 installer contained Rapture, in Platinum Rapture uses a separate installer. When installing Platinum using the Command Center Rapture is at the same level as DPro, SONAR and the L-Phase plug-ins. If manually installing from your account, Rapture is a separate line item in your account. It is not under the SONAR Platinum item.

I do already have Rapture 1.2.2 installed and as you say can be installed from the Command Center.

I can confirm that it is the Rapture LE 64 version that I need.  I do not have this on disk, Is there anyway I can get hold of a disk image to install it?

Many thanks

Rapture LE was never sold separately. While functionally a subset of Rapture, it is a separate plug-in. You will need to identify the Cakewalk product you purchased that included the plug-in and run the advanced install option of that product to get the old plug-in installed.

A general call out to all Sonar users who might have a disk with raptureLE64.
I would be very grateful if you could share a disk image with me so I can re-install and save my project.

Rapture LE is on your Sonar X1 installer.  X1 should still be available for download from your Cakewalk account at My Account Home > My Products.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

I think you may be correct. I was under the impression the full version shipped with X1 Producer but that may not have been until X2 Producer. Run the X1 SONAR installer, select the advanced option to get a list of components to install. It should be in the synth section of the component list. I bought the full version of Rapture when it was released and stopped messing with the LE version some time ago.

Installed Rapture LE from the Sonar X1 advanced installer without a problem.
