Loudness matching etc.

i use har bal.
 
not for volume balancing, or eq balancing.
only for eQ of stereo files before mastering.

i have found, 
that for most people looking for ANSWERS,
har bal is not it.
 
most people think they can take their own mixes, and match them against other pro mixes...
but every mix is so unique, that whenever you match one particular specific frequency and level to something else,
you may very well change the DNA of the song to such a degree, that you lose the uniqueness of your own mix.
 
but for beginners, it's an exceptional tool, to learn frequencies, and to figure out how to mix closer to a professional mix, thru mostly trial and error.
