A problem copying and pasting audio.

Sometimes when I'm recording I'll record a verse and then copy and pasty it rather than recording a new verse. At times, I have to overlap a copied piece over another audio piece by a measure or so. When I do, sonar automatically blends these by fading in and then fading out over the copied parts. I've tried to change this by going into edit preferences, but haven't been able to get it to just copy the piece and paste it without this fade in and fade out.

Anyone know how to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

In X3 under Preferences>Customization>Editing there is a setting for Automatic Crossfade Comps which can be set from 0-25 ms. Maybe setting it to 0 will disable it?

When this happens to me I pull apart the overlapped and crossfaded clips then fix up the fades so they are not there. I'm sure however that there is some better way.
