The New Adaptive Limiter...
Just DLed and installed the new Sonar...but not seeing the new Limiter. Looked in both Pro Channel and the Browser. Is it a separate download?

Did you rescan the vst's? Mine required that.

It's contained in the Engineering Suite...if you didn't update that then you don't have it...

I, too didn't see the plugin even after running a scan but it was there in the Plug-in Manager so, I added it to a folder and saved the plugin-in layout. Done.

I like it. Happy to have it.
I don't like that it leaves a tiny fade-in on the rendered audio file, so... whatever :)

so far I really love it! the presets are great starting points and the look ahead is wonderful. very low on resources, excellent piece of work. it will very likely be my goto limiter from now on. the LP EQ and Comp, tho, are BIG resource hogs and induce a lot of latency. they work well if you can deal with that.

What about the 'fade-in' that the limiter inputs on the bounced file? Noticed that, yet?

hmm., no, I haven't because I haven't bounced a track or exported a file with it yet. I'll have to check that out.

I'm digging it - other than that fade in. Haven't been able to find a setting to turn this off. Anyone know yet whether this is a bug or, if not, whether we'll be given the option to turn it off in a future release?

I've been using the Adaptive Limiter lately. I am a long-time Pro-L/Ozone champion, but I have to say AL holds its own when stacked against the best there is. Kudos to CW for getting it right! If only they'd done it years ago.

It's good practice to allow a bit of whitespace on your audio bounces anyhow. Although I think the fade-in issue has been addressed by Cakewalk.
