Track Template - I'm Thrilled!!

While I have created “project templates” before I never realized that I could create “track templates” as well! For me this is huge! I’m stoked! It’s probably been there forever but just in case there may be someone else like me that didn't know you may want to take a look at it.

To save: File, Export, Track Template
To load from console view: Track, Insert From Track Template.

Thanks

You can also just right click on the track and choose "Save as Track Template".
But you are right, Track Templates are the balls. So useful.

Now if I could just use Track Templates on existing tracks my life would be complete.
You can do that with pro channel presets, so it can be that difficult to implement.

Not so - it's about inserting even a range of new tracks with busses with instruments, plugins and routing done for you.

Just be aware that currently tack templates are not working well with sends.  If you insert a send to an external output and save it as a track template, when you load the template the send won't be there.  I am really hoping that cakewalk can look into to this and work it out.

    IFM, is correct.
There was talk of it being some what successful for some users but it works about 50% of the time here.
I don't believe Mix Recall was ever intended to work like that. Mix Recall is more of "use per project"
If I have a project that has exactly the same amount of tracks than all is good.
But when I only want to use 1 track and mix recall has a project full of tracks, that's when things go array.

So essentially what I would like to see is, me being able to right click on a track that already has data in it..
And choose "Insert Template to this track".
