2017.05 - Can we disable "Clicking between markers selects ALL tracks"?

The new 2017.05 feature "Clicking between two marks above the timeline will now create a timeline selection between both markers" is pretty cool.
 
But I constantly click between markers before I activate looping with a keyboard shortcut, and then it pretty soon gets very annoying that all tracks are selected when clicking on the timeline... :(
 
I agree that it is convenient to be able to select all tracks easily - maybe that could happen with the addition of a modifier key like SHIFT or CONTROL when you click between markers?
