Unable to open audio record device

Does anyone know how to get ahold of tech support. All of a sudden can not play back songs I recorded last week. I have Sonar Platinum and Focusrite 18i8. It crashed and when I restarted it, I get the message "Unable to open audio record device. Device may not support the current project' audio format.I followed the directions that the FAQ gave me and still no luck. Imput drivers; Device settings are all checked Focusrite usb 2.0 audio driver... Out put Drivers: Focusrite USB 2.0Driver mon 1 ...Hp1l and so on...Record timing master: Focusrite USB2.0. Sample rate 44100. playback and recording: Driver mode ASIO.
I have been trying to email anyone for help but I cannot find an email address for cakewalk support. How do you get help when the FAQs don't help?

It's not Sonar. It's the audio device/drivers or Windows that's at fault here. That would have most likely caused the crash too. I take it you have rebooted your system and tried again? Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your Focusrite?

Agreed, not Sonar. BTW, after a recent W10 update my drivers got hosed.

No biggie. Re-install the latest drivers downloaded from Focusrite.

    All the best,

Make sure you have the latest firmware as well for the Focusrite. Some of the older versions have issues with sample rate changes especially if you're also using it for Windows sounds or any other sounds outside of SONAR.

I have an 18I8 myself and all has been good here.
However sometimes all that is needed is a PC Reboot. or an Unplug/Re-plug in of your Focusrite device.
I have yet to have my drivers bit the shed. unless something got totally corrupt, I suspect something more obvious.
Like powering off the unit for 60 seconds or more (this allows a reset) and unplugging the unit.

Important: Also make sure you are plugging the USB in to the same port every time. (make sure its a USB 2 port).
It should be the same port you used when you installed the drivers. Don't mix and match the port every time, stay consistent.
