Melodyne
I don't seem to have the pitch correction tool showing in my tool box. I tried pressing F2, but nothing happened. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you are already in the Melodyne gui, make sure you are using the "melodic" algorithm, not "rhythmic (unpitched).

Good afternoon, I do not have all the tools I saw in the manuals. And I have it in "melody" algorithm. I can not find the one that is used to "flatten" the waves ...

Well, when you go to the programs folder on your computer for Melodyne there is a tutorial that pop-up in the form of a video, it presents you with all the first steps to using Melodyne. Also, if you go to the Celemony website and go to Help, you can access that same Tutorial video and select the essential version of Melodyne to see the features in which you have that comes with Sonar, Click the link below, Melodyne Video Tutorial

No Problem and remember, the manual is installed on your computer and on the website as well. Also, YouTube has a bunch of videos as well. See the link below for YouTube Videos on Melodyne 4 Essentials Melodyne 4 Essential

I just toured the manual and found no reference how to individually "flatten" the variations of a wave. You can control the pitch fluctuation to some extent, but that affects the track or the clip, not the note in question. In previous versions there was a specific tool for that, I remember seeing it. Watching video tutorials takes much longer than reading a manual. Will I have to double my patience? With the V-vowel it was very simple, I'm surprised that such a tool is so "hidden". Thank you very much anyway.

You might not have certain tools available in the basic version that ships with Sonar. Melodyne editor has more features to it.

If you can spring for it, the upgrades are well worth the money! I went from Essential to Editor first and then to Studio on another sale. Editor will give you all regular tools, studio mainly adds multitrack support.

Pitch drift – Intensity/direction of pitch drift .... You can see that my version does not have it. Regrettably. I think I'll move on to the next step. I miss the V-Vocal. Thank you very much for your help!! Regards to all!

If you have an older version of SONAR that included V-Vocal, it will work in the current version of SONAR. To install V-Vocal run the advanced install option of the old version of SONAR and select Minimal Installation from the drop down above the component pick list. The basic/advanced install switch is a couple of screens into the install process.

If by "flatten the wave" you mean reducing vibrato on a specific blob, then yes, the Editor version has that. It works pretty well!

You got it man (The Pitch drift tool). I also noticed why I couldn't do certain things in Melodyne when I had the base version that ships with Sonar. The base version will allow you to do pitch correction but not with the same accuracy as the editor version. I upgraded a while back and I must say its one of the most useful tools in my bag of tricks. I love Melodyne. It takes a while to get the grasp/the jest of how everything works but once you do have a good understanding this tool will take you places. I sometimes see people with complaints about trying to fix 5 minute chunks of data. In my opinion Melodyne was not really created to do this, it works best by fixing smaller chunks of material. Another personal opinion is if you do have a 5 minute chunk of data that needs fixing you will be better of re recording the whole track again. I also suggest after making corrections, use the "Bounce to clips" function. Just make a back up of your original material. I don't but I have heard others complain of not being able to retrieve the original (which IS in your audio folder) but never the less keep a back up. Another opinion here is..if your fixing a track, it was never perfect in the first place so what have you got to lose ? An imperfect back up ? Hope this helps. Chuck
