Oh BTW, the piano is una corda.  It has a really soft sound and only single strings instead of the usual multi-string set up on a piano.

    You could snip off the 6 seconds of silence at the start. The piano arpeggios are pretty but went on too long alone. Nice when the bass and strings joined in, but the pizzicato hits were very odd. The ending just kind of fell apart. All in all, a pleasant piece, that seemed to need a top line melody.

    thanks james for the criticism.  You're correct the pizz hits are very strange, but they're not as strange as when they were in Sonar.  The una corda isn't as resonant and the piano line sounds way too quantized on it, whereas the standard pianos offer more flexibility.  I think the quantization feeling makes the beginning a little monotonous as you say.  The ending is sui generis.
