MP3 converter for Sonar 8.5 Professional

A few weeks ago I received a Cakewalk News email offering a free download to convert my cakewalk files to MP3.  Something to do with being possible now due to the copyright having expired.  Unfortunately I didn´t have time to download then and now the email has vanished. I have looked on Cakewalk website etc and nothing showing.  It would be great to have this and wondered if anyone can give me a link to this.

    The MP3 encoder was gifted to new Sonar platinum users of 2017.05.
    Im not sure it is retro active, it might be, but I was under the impression it was just unlocked in the April update of Sonar.

     MP3 export is now available in SONAR Artist, Professional, and Platinum at no charge. Recently the patent royalties associated with MP3 encoding expired. Cakewalk is excited to offer MP3 encoding free of charge in SONAR.

    Many thanks for the info and link. I have requested the download and will have to wait and see if I get it and if so whether it works in Sonar 8.5 Professional.

    You may have trouble due to there not being a Sonar 8.5 Professional. It was Sonar Producer or Studio.

    You may have trouble due to there not being a Sonar 8.5 Professional. It was Sonar Producer or Studio. 




    I think it was just an MP3 encoder installation file sent.
