Heatwaves that bad. Well at least I dont look like a member of ISIS anymore.

My beard is almost a foot long at the moment. I think it actually cools.
It keeps my lower face, neck, and some chest in the shade, but allows air to circulate.
I'm starting to look like an ISIS follower. I just need more holiday time for a tan!

Well canada is usually colder than UK summers. This current temperature is unbearable. This guy was sent home for going to work in shorts, he returned in a pink dress and they changed their dress code to allow 3/4 shorts for men (Ive actually just ordered a pair of those): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4621940/Worker-sent-home-wearing-shorts-comes-dress.html Theres even health and safety people saying that workers should be allowed to not go to work if the temp is over 30c, or 27c for physically demanding work.

Not at all! We're usually above 90F for July and August, with a couple of peak weeks topping 100. Our winters are cold, but our summers are hot and humid. The UK has milder weather than us year-round.

He's probably thinking about Western Canada. Vancouver BC and Vancouver WA have weather very similar to each other and to many parts of Europe. Toronto not so much.

Canada uses both. We're formally metric, but get a lot of imperial influence coming up from the south.
I'll translate:
Toronto stays above 30C for July/August, with a couple of weeks up to 35/40.

So Slugbaby isnt Canadian?
What does it matter? You claimed you were confused about how hot it gets in Canada due to the temparature conversion which, officially, doesn't exist between Britain and Canada. Older Canadians will use Farenheit because they grew up with it before the switch to metric/Celsius but all temps are displayed in C by default on all official weather reports and doubtfully would be shown in Farenheit anyway from British weather sites. Seems to me you didn't know WTH you were talking about but decided to mansplain to actual Canadians about our own weather. And yes... as Craig pointed out, Canada is a BIG country (which I have been across coast to coast in the middle of summer) so there are climate differences but aside from the coasts and the far north the summers general reach the high 20's/low 30's everywhere.
