Can anyone hear skype and screenshare with my bro in Denmark to get his software working ?

So my bro is desperate to get a lower latency on his setup, He is using a Samson G track mic (which has built in audio interface) and Studio one software.
Now i know this is not Sonar but it is very similar, I would be willing to pay someone for their time helping him get it resolved.
I know how knowledgeable people are here and did couldn't get any replies on the studio one forums .

I hope this is allowed to ask .

Anyone want to spend 10/20 minutes with him to try and get it resolved  ? He is getting 24ms latency right now :(

I have tried with my limited knowledge , But nothing is getting it lower .

Thanks

Those USB mics are at their best in podcasting, not multitracking. There's been innumerable threads about their latency problems. I wonder if I've ever read about one single case of someone getting them to work nicely in multitracking. Just my two cents. I have no tricks up my sleeves, sorry.

I agree with Kalle.  He should get a better mic and audio interface if he want to record music/vocals.

However I did a little research and found out that this mic has compatibility problems with Win 7-10, even in the XP compatibility mode.  Also is he plugging this mic directly into his computer or through a hub?  Going through a hub can cause more latency.  Is the mic USB 1, 2 or 3? This mic has been around for a while.  What does his computer have for USB, 2 or 3?  There could be a compatibility problem with the USB ports also.

Just my opinion but the best thing for him to do would be to dump the mic and get a good mic and audio interface.  Many are not that expensive.

I have this mic and it is pretty good for a cheapie, $21 USD:

I would buy a real mic chord and not use the mini plug that comes with the mic. $7 USD:

    Audio interface, $40 USD:

He may need a mic stand, $16 USD:

So for less than what he paid for that mic he can get a much better set up with very low latency.
Off course one can spend a lot more money also.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.
