Ran across this cool video that explains how MPE channel data works with the LinnStrument's channel per note feature.

Have you seen the Roli Keyboard is in a block form now. So you can buy it two octaves at a time.

I'm not sure how it handles the transitions when sliding from one keyboard block to the next

Got to play the 61-key Roli and Linnstrument last weekend at GearFest.
Both offer exceptional expressive capabilities that are far beyond a typical MIDI controller.

Met Roger Linn and he demo'd Linnstrument.
He's very passionate about MPE controllers.  After seeing/hearing him play, I can see why.
Immediately decided to get one.  Totally blew my mind.

When playing the Roli (it may have been me pushing too hard into the foam keys), but the foam seemed to bunch up a little at the front of my finger... which made sliding forward feel awkward.

Went to GearFest focused primarily on Guitar/Bass... but the Roli and Linnstrument (to me) were the two pieces that immediately stood out as exciting/revolutionary.

My Linnstrument should arrive today.
I'd also like to get the 61-key Roli.  At $3k, it's the cost of a very nice guitar/bass.
Maybe next year...

Best Regards,

Jim Roseberry
