Auto-scroll in piano roll (hey, that's a tune)

I hope I'm just being dumb.  I want piano roll to continue tracking the song notes as a song plays, but of course the minute I delete or move a note on the fly, that particular time window stands still from then on.
 
Am I missing something?  Thank you!

    Editing freezes the view so that more edits can happen without having a moving target. To resume scrolling right-click in the time ruler.

    or you can press the scroll lock button on you keyboard, twice.
