Just how much beer do the Brits like ?
Just wondering.
Or maybe any British beer that is very good ?
Here in Netherlands we only have Heineken..

Amstel is Heineken's 'B' brand, Freddy (Heineken) named it after Amsterdams Amstel river.
Our neighbours in Belgium and Germany do have great beers, not here in NL where mainly XTC pils and weed is produced

The Grolsch flip bottles are fun and so are all the drinkers in the Grolsch region, they're great folks (CAN YOU EMAGINE ? THEY ARE DUTCH !! ).
But imo it's not a great beer, ofcourse if you drink nothing else growing up partying every weekend with Grolsch...you'll probably like that one best.

No, Corona is lager. Hopping Hare is an English bitter.

I went to Port Zelande a couple of times, drank some Grolsch then. It isn't great, but I'm not a lager drinker. In Belgium I remember drinking Jupiler..vaguely...

afaik all the Belgium hundreds brewery mostly do ale, with Jupiler you didn't get a great beer again haha. best lager I ever had was in Czech republic, don't remember the name but drank it every night without ever feeling bad next morning and kept tasting good all night.

I like Grolsch. It's one of my go to beers.
It is a little "hoppy/flowery" but definitely drinkable in quantity.
The bottles are cool too and for home brewers picking up the occasional sixer and cleaning/saving the flip tops is a good way to stock up on containers that don't require special capping tools and whatnot.

I don't drink beer.
I find it does funny stuff to me.
Like this one time, I got real drunk.
I did not feel good the next day.
That was my wedding day (the next day, that is).

Talking about Dutch beer I have fond memories of Hertog Jan bock beer. In the 80s it came in a 60cl bottle with a cork held in with a metal strap. Dark and strong and quite unlike the usual pils. One to drink unchilled to bring out the flavour.
