"YESTERDAY" - mix #1--final mixes for new album

https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/yesterday-a

i've got 10 songs almost finished for a new album release.

any suggestions on final tweaks, eq issues, translation issues, etc, are appreciated.
this is mix #1 of this song.
i'll only leave these up a few days each.

Issues:
i mixed the kick really up front on this one,
i like the way it drives, but i'm on the fence over whether or not it's too much.
ideas?

Mix sounds great on this one.  Heard that kick just fine on these little speakers, and the bass too.

Batsbrew, I think the kick is fine - it really does drive the song.  I am listening in my studio with HS5's.  It's actually the bass the might be just a touch too loud, but I could live with this mix.

I have to admit I have not been listening to much here or anywhere as everything has been sounding a bit like the same ol' same ol' to my furry ears.  Consequently it would have been unfair to comment as it is probably my furry ears and not the music.

But this was refreshingly different.  Nice clear mix, kick and bass nicely balanced present but not overbearing.  Vocals sitting nicely in the mix, good guitar tones with some classic Bat's licks all in all nice one Bat.

For reference listened on the Adam's A7x's.

hey thanks dwardzala, that helps to know how it's translating on some proper monitors...
some are telling me the bass is too low in places, and i know what you mean about it coming off as 'too loud', i mixed that, and the kick, hot.
i feel the groove in this one with those elements, and thought i'd let them be the dominant melodies,
and it was just a subjective decision... normally i don't mix the bass that hot, but maybe i should?

hey wookieeeeeeeeee, thanks for coming out of semi retirement on this song!
    LOL....
hey, did you notice the synth on the right? i play that throughout the song,
it IS distorted, i ran it thru the boogie when i tracked it....
but hey, it's still keys!! played in real time!! (i'm not a very good key player, but i try)

The bass is not bothersome by any means, and it does drive the song along with the kick, it was just something I "noticed" (and that could be okay.)
