Sonar with Roli Seaboard

Hello everyone,

I had the opportunity to play the Roli Seaboard at a trade show the other week.  Pretty awesome.  Unfortunate they couldn't tell me if the Seaboard would work with Sonar.

Is anyone using the Roli Seaboard with Sonar?  If so, how's it working? Does it support the all the features of the keyboard, sliding, touch sensitivity?  Do you have to use the Roli sounds as a VST?  Do any of the Sonar VST plug-ins support the features?

I've looked at both the Roli and Cakewalk website and couldn't find any information.  I just don't want to spend $300 and find the keyboard is limited because of Sonar.

If anyone can point me to any articles or videos that can help, I would be very thankful.

Thanks!

Dave

Don't know about the Roli, but the QNexus controller which has a similar approach to pads carrying multiple functions works fine. Very unlike using a conventional keyboard though.

    Sonar Platinum 64bit, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, I7 3770K Ivybridge, 16GB Ram, Gigabyte Z77-D3H m/board,
ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre.
Assorted real synths, guitars, mandolins, diatonic accordions, percussion, fx and other stuff.
