Another collaboration with Markno999 - Ebb Tide. (new mix, per Dan)

Here's a new song I recorded with Mark. Mark did the backing track on this, I did the main lead guitar and Mark added the middle lead guitar. The version of this tune I'm most familiar with was recorded by the Righteous Brothers.

Ebb Tide. Thanks for taking a listen.

Great cover Mark!  I think you are right about the EQ's being the key to a good mix, if you remember saying that at one time to me then you'll know what I am talking about my friend.

Enjoyed hearing this one very much! Dang man, it is really hard to express yourself with guitar lines for vocal lines and such things. Believe me when I say that.

    Sounds good man!

Very nice track guys! My only real nit is that the strings/synth start and stop rather than ebb and flow, which I think would be better for a song like this. Everything else about this is pretty darn good!

Thanks for taking a listen guys. I've posted a new version of this tune that addresses the problem that Dan pointed out - thanks.

    ebb tide..
    man, that's a classic.
i dig the pure guitar tones...
    the strings are kinda cheesy,
but at the same time, if you are having a 'nod' to the original,
    you gotta have strings.
a very balanced mix, and really good performances

WOW that came out Great Guys Loved the guitar tones .
The tune itself was very dynamic and emotional . The orchestration itself was period correct and very convincing .
Keep up the good work .

    all the best,

I really enjoyed that...   Stylishly retro with some really nice lyrical guitar lines.

Super sweet, guys. I don't find the strings to be cheesy as Bat mentioned. They sound just as real as anything from its time IMO. A little Love Boat-ish, if you will. Loved the mix. I could hear everything just perfectly. Great tone, Mark. The chop guitar was just right too. Nice work, bro!
