Re-Initializing Sound Card Drivers

Hello Everyone,
 
Is there a way to Re-Initializing the Sound Card Drivers without restarting my PC.  For some unknown reason other programs like Windows Media Player and others switch the driver and I have to reboot my PC to use my EIE Pro drivers.
