Plug-in upsampling settings not kept with updates

I'm noticing that when I update Plat my global settings for up-sampling on render aren't being kept. They're are all being disabled.
Anyone else having this issue?

Just tested with a new project using TH3 Cakewalk and SONAR Platinum 23.6.0.24. No problem keeping settings between sessions. The settings are stored in %appdata%\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum\Aud.ini. Unless you are messing with Aud.ini some other way or the file is not getting updated, the settings should be persistent. Settings are documented here.

Not between sessions but with new releases.
This has happened at least dozen times since the up-sampling feature was released.

I looked in my Aud.ini and see all the changes made since the feature was introduced. The only way the settings disappear is when Aud.ini is reset which does not happen automatically. Do you see any messages about personalization when updating?

    No messages or error pop-ups.
    I haven't edited the Aud.ini in years.
If it's resetting automatically only after the updates then I'm assuming it has to do with the updates themselves.

I was just thinking maybe a plugin version update might cause this too?

The only times Aud.ini is overwritten is the full personalization process. This happens when SONAR is initially installed/upgraded or on demand by holding the CTRL while starting SONAR. It does not happen when updating SONAR. Do you backup your user directory? If so, you might be able to compare the current Aud.ini with previous versions.

If the plug-in updates result in changes to the CLSIDs used in the VST inventory, then the plug-ins are different as far as SONAR is concerned. There would be no upsample settings for the new (updated) plug-ins. I have not experienced this after updating plug-ins on my system but it is possible.

Updating plugins causing the problem was hypothetical. Never actually had the problem after performing one.

I update normally, through command center. If my Audi is changing it's not from my own doings.
I restore/ backup roughly monthly, when I have new plugins verified working properly or testing betas finished. The up-sampling feature works properly throughout this phase & only changes after Plat has installs a new version. ( & not with each update)

I'll keep your compare idea in mind.
Thanks for your help & suggestions.
