(Solved!) getting Sonar to function on a MAC?

So I occasionally will compose a song and visit my daughter in college and she will sing it for me.  Instead of lugging my computer down there we will record her on her Mac in Garageband...which has a whole host of issues for us.  I would rather record her in a Sonar file.  I have only been able to get her Mac notebook to run Sonar in Demo Mode.  Is that because I did not load it thru Command Center?   Can I get sonar for mac to record a vocal track and then bring it back to my main machine to mix??

Hi Jimbo, If you are using the SONAR Mac Prototype we released a little while back you are able to move the project back to your Windows machine and open it. They both use the same project format.

Lance - I have the same issue. Downloaded the current Mac Prototype, and it's locked in DEMO MODE - which means save and export is disabled. Which means I can't use it to draft a project on the move and then transfer it to my Windows machine at home.
How does one unlock demo mode ?

I just solved my own question - for anyone else wondering ,it's this -
go to Help / Offline Activation - export a request, upload to your cakewalk account, and then import the resulting DAT file.

(Perhaps I needed to do this because I didn't have the Command Centre on my Mac image)

Just remember the Mac BETA is a closed prototype. I was never able to get it working on my own Mac anyway. It's feature-limited and has no future dev plans.

You could export your SONAR mix (or even mix stems) and slurp them into a different DAW on her Mac. Reaper comes to mind but all the usual suspects are available. It's not the easiest way but not to complicated either. Broadcast .wav files open at timestamp so you could potentially do it as one mix file.
