Free Field Recording Samples From Luftrum

Many of you may already be familiar with Luftrum Sound Design.  He has created sound libraries for Omnisphere, Diva, Iris, and others.

I recently picked up one of his libraries, and discovered the free field recordings.

The recordings are available for free individually, with a Creative Commons License to use them.

For a small donation to Save the Children, he also makes the whole collection available as a 1GB download bundle, with a complete user license.

Good stuff here!  Well worth checking out, and useful in any synth that imports wav files, such as Rapture, SynthMaster, or just about any sampler.

"The field recordings in the playlist to the right are free to download. They are a mix of 16Bit and 24Bit wav files containing a broad range of various recordings from ocean waves to forest sounds, birds, gardenscapes, airport atmospheres, binaural recordings (make sure to listen with headphones for full effect!) and experiments with hydrophones, coil pickups and contact mics such as the rumble of a windmill, the circuit board of an iPhone and the footsteps of ants on a contact mic. Perfect as atmospheric background, sound effect, layered texture or otherwise."

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
