Sonar not recording via Rewire

I have Ableton Live Lite set up as a rewire device in Sonar. It plays fine, but Sonar will not record audio from Ableton.

I actually got it to do it once, but I don't remember what I had to do. It was some sort of trick that made it work.

Obviously a Sonar bug. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

What it's actually doing is not sending out the MID info. If I play on the keyboard while the recording is happening, sound goes out to Ableton, and the result is recorded in Sonar.

So Sonar is not sending out the MIDI info to the Rewire device during recording.

Oh, and my project is a MIDI track with notes on it, sending to the Rewire device (Ableton), and routed back into Sonar on an audio track.

The setup works fine when just pressing Play, but with record the MIDI info doesn't go out, it seems.

Ok, so here is the 'trick I have to do to make it record. Turn on the Track Lanes for the MIDI track feeding Ableton.

    Anyone else? Bueller?

There is a BUG that cuts audio from Ableton into Platinum under certain circumstances that has been reported and confirmed by Cakewalk. Hopefully a fix comes soon!

This is what i think you are trying to do
    1) insert ableton rewire into platinum
    2) inside platinum select the ableton midi track output drop down and then select the ableton track you want to send midi to, then insert some midi notes.
    3) inside ableton on that  receiving midi track change the ( Output /Audio to: Rewire out Mix L/R)
( this is the Platinum receiving Input audio track )
    4) inside platinum go to ableton audio track : Mix L/R and ARM the track by selecting the little record button.
    5) inside platinum hit the global record button and it should work if not it is the bug !

    Take care

    Yes. That's pretty much it.

Playing the MIDI notes works, but when recording is going on, Ableton doesn't get the MIDI info from the track... UNLESS I turn on view of the track lanes on that MIDI track in Sonar.
